Meet The Specialists

Munnaza Syed, M.A.

Munnaza Syed has her Master’s degree and is currently at Adler University’s Clinical Psychology Doctorate program with a concentration in Child and Adolescent emphasis. She did her undergraduate from the University of Saint Joseph in Connecticut with a major in Biology and a minor in Spanish and Chemistry. Before graduate school, she worked as a teacher support specialist in a therapeutic day school with children with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and emotional and behavioral dysregulation. She is passionate about neurodevelopmental disorders and enjoys working with the youngest population.

She has a multicultural background and enjoys learning about different cultures and new languages. She is fluent in Urdu and Hindi and has some understanding of Spanish and Punjabi. She is passionate about serving immigrants, refugee families, and underserved communities. She also has volunteered to teach citizenship classes to immigrants. She hopes to educate people on the importance of mental health and break the stigma which may prevent them from seeking professional help related to psychological issues. Regarding her free time, she enjoys long walks, exploring new food places, baking sweets, and cooking traditional South Asian cuisine.
