Meet The Specialists
Nicholas holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University and provides psychotherapy to children, teens, adults, couples, and families. He looks at the whole person, recognizing how family, school, work, and community shape an individual’s experience.
Nicholas joins Myket & Associates with a rich background in community-based leadership and youth programming, including managing operations and teen leadership initiatives at a local Non-Profit organization.
In all of his work, Nicholas draws primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gestalt therapy, and somatic therapy (focuses on the mind-body connection). He has experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, perfectionism, divorce, near-death experience, school refusal, emotional dysregulation, adjustment challenges, and life transitions. He also provides parent consultation and support for families navigating behavioral and emotional concerns.
Key focuses of his work include helping clients build awareness of what they are focusing on, clarify their values, and learn to shift their emotions through connection with the body. His experience with both children and adults gives him an excellent developmental understanding of how challenges evolve over time.
Grounded in curiosity, humor, and nonjudgment, Nicholas brings his authentic self to the therapy room, while creating space for clients to grow. Outside of work, he enjoys running, reading, rock climbing, exploring nature, and spending time with loved ones.
