Meet The Specialists
Dr. Jessica Zohrer, received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Midwestern University, with an emphasis in children and adolescents. She received her B.A. in psychology from the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Zohrer completed her predoctoral internship at South Campus Therapeutic Day School, with a focus on clinical child/adolescent psychology.
She specializes in working with children and adolescents with a variety of concerns, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, attention and behavioral concerns, Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disorders, school-related issues, and adjustment to family stressors. She has worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and families in a variety of settings, including hospital-affiliated outpatient clinics, child developmental centers, community mental health centers, and schools. Dr. Zohrer has experience conducting comprehensive assessments for children and adolescents with attention and learning disorders, developmental disorders, and social and emotional difficulties.
Dr. Zohrer’s approach to treatment combines ongoing assessment, progress monitoring, and research-based treatments and interventions that have shown to be effective, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure Therapy, Behavioral Modification, and parent management training. She strongly believes in individualizing treatment for each client, as well as having family involvement in treatment whenever possible and appropriate. In her free time, Dr. Zohrer enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and baking, crafting, and reading.
