Meet The Specialists
Guadalupe Garcia, MSW, earned her Master of Social Work from Dominican University. During her postgraduate training, Guadalupe gained experience in counseling, crisis intervention, and advocacy services. A fluent Spanish and English speaker, Guadalupe holds a QBS (Qualified Bilingual Speaker) certification and proudly identifies as a Latina woman. She is passionate about delivering culturally responsive care that honors the diverse backgrounds of the communities she serves.
She has had the privilege of working with children (ages 6-12), young adults (ages 13-25), and adults (ages 26-50), supporting individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including PTSD, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, and trauma-related conditions. Her particular interests lie in working with families and individuals who struggle with adjustment, OCD, eating disorders, phobias, and personality disorders. Her approach is strengths-based and trauma-informed, grounded in empathy and cultural humility. She empowers clients using evidence-based interventions, including cognitive behavioral techniques and motivational interviewing, always striving to meet clients where they are in their journey.
Guadalupe values building authentic, trusting therapeutic relationships and considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they heal and grow. In her free time, she enjoys working out, traveling, and spending time with her loved ones.
