Meet The Specialists
Cindy Surges O’Donnell is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been in practice for over 25 years. Cindy earned her Master’s Degree (MSW) from the University of Illinois/Chicago. She has a second Master’s Degree (MAR) from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.
For the first ten years of her career, Cindy worked in the health care field of Social Work helping families and individuals navigate through chronic and terminal illness. Cindy then transitioned to private practice, where she has helped individuals and families who are experiencing adjustment issues, grief and loss, marital discord, parenting challenges, health issues, including terminal and chronic illness, trauma, depression, anxiety, communications issues, and life transitions. Cindy particularly enjoys helping individuals and families deal with life’s highs and lows, the highs and lows, and joys and sorrows, while navigating individual issues, couples or other relational conflicts, and finding their way back to emotional wellness. The answers lie within us, but we sometimes need someone to walk beside us, in order to discover what we need to do and where we need to go.
Cindy is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), as well as the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). In her free time, she enjoys reading, music, an amazing cup of tea, gardening or being outdoors, being involved in her church, and spending time with family and friends.
