She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Fluent in both Hindi and English, Shubhra brings a rich multicultural perspective to her work, offering compassionate counseling that honors and respects each client’s unique cultural background.
Shubhra takes a holistic approach to mental health, focusing on healing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and draws from her previous internship experience grounded in a Person-Centered (PCT) approach. These evidence-based methods help clients build insight, resilience, and lasting change.
She sees kids, teens, adults, families, and couples. Shubhra has experience working with OCD, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, trauma, LGBTQ+, grief, addiction, and school avoidance issues. She is passionate about advocating for social change, particularly in communities where traditional values and generational differences may create barriers to open communication. Her work is rooted in helping individuals break free from limiting environments, foster personal growth, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
Outside of her professional work, Shubhra finds joy and inspiration in poetry writing, creative art projects, puzzles, singing, and dancing. These creative outlets enrich her therapeutic practice and reflect her belief in the healing power of expression. Shubhra is deeply committed to creating a safe, inclusive space where clients feel supported as they heal, transform, and thrive.
