Meet The Specialists
Pam Witt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) as well as a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADC). She worked as a high school social worker in the Naperville area for 20+ years. Pam received her BA in Psychology from Northern Illinois University and her Master of Social Work from the Jane Addams College of Social Work, University of Illinois-Chicago.
Working from a strengths and systems perspective, Pam utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) techniques, and a broad range of other pragmatic approaches to problem solving and therapy. Her years of experience in the high school setting can be invaluable for families and adolescents, as she understands the challenges teens face every day and the influences of social media that adolescents experience. In addition, Pam can help families navigate both the regular and special education processes, with the goal of empowering teens to take ownership for and a more active role in their own education. She believes there is nothing more important than developing resilience in adolescents by strengthening their self-awareness, self-management, decision-making and social interaction skills.
