Meet The Specialists

Pam Witt, LCSW & CADC

Pam Witt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) as well as a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADC). She worked as a high school social worker in the Naperville area for 20+ years. Pam received her BA in Psychology from Northern Illinois University and her Master of Social Work from the Jane Addams College of Social Work, University of Illinois-Chicago.

Working from a strengths and systems perspective, Pam utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) techniques, and a broad range of other pragmatic approaches to problem solving and therapy.  Her years of experience in the high school setting can be invaluable for families and adolescents, as she understands the challenges teens face every day and the influences of social media that adolescents experience. In addition, Pam can help families navigate both the regular and special education processes, with the goal of empowering teens to take ownership for and a more active role in their own education. She believes there is nothing more important than developing resilience in adolescents by strengthening their self-awareness, self-management, decision-making and social interaction skills.

Expertise includes

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Substance abuse
  • Crisis management
  • LGBTQ+
  • Coaching families in crisis and setting boundaries for teens
  • Knowledge of resources available to teens and families in the school system and how therapy can assist in that process

Continuing education and best practices are at the forefront of Pam’s practice, and she regularly attends conferences and training to ensure her knowledge base is current in order to provide effective and quality psychotherapy. She works hard to practice within her realm of expertise and experience.

Pam is married and has four children. She places great emphasis on spending time with family and friends, loves the Cubs, and works out on a daily basis – running and triathlons are her forte. A good podcast or audiobook always catches her attention, and in recent years she discovered the tranquility of paddle boarding.
