Meet The Specialists

Jessica Marevka, M.A.

Jessica Marevka received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Midwestern University in 2021. She is currently moving forward in her education as a Doctoral Candidate pursuing a concentration in Child & Adolescent Psychology. Jessica has worked with youth and adults in various settings, including therapeutic day schools, community mental health centers, court and juvenile detention, and behavioral health hospitals. Regarding clinical interests, Jessica has a passion for diagnostic assessment. Currently, she works as a neuropsychological technician at Center for Mind-Body Health, a pediatric neuropsychology practice that focuses on assessing neurodevelopmental and neurocognitive conditions, such as attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and learning disabilities.

For therapy, Jessica utilizes a cognitive-behavioral framework and applies this theoretical approach to her work with individuals, families, and groups. In addition, Jessica incorporates systems theories and third-wave approaches, such as acceptance and commitment therapy and dialectal behavior therapy techniques, to meet the unique needs of her clients. Moreover, Jessica has enjoyed the diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of working with various clinical presentations, including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, disruptive behaviors, anger management, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and relational difficulties. At the crux of Jessica’s work, she is passionate about her belief that no person exists in a vacuum, and therefore, children and their families will work together to achieve optimal mental health and wellness.

As a clinical extern at Susan Myket, Ph.D. & Associates, Jessica aims to enhance the mental tools and feelings of competency to handle difficult emotional, behavioral, and mental challenges in the children, adolescents, and families she works with. When Jessica is not hard at work, she enjoys playing with her dog, competitively challenging her family and friends in various board and card games, and watching/participating in musical theatre.
