She is skilled in serving students in kindergarten through 22 years of age, and she understands best practices with regard to assessments and interventions for individuals with a wide variety of needs. Allison’s experience allows her to come alongside families who are navigating educational and emotional challenges with their students, and who may be working with a special education team for the first time. She builds strong therapeutic relationships with children, teens, and families that are based on trust and connection, utilizing a strengths-based approach. Allison strives to ensure that each client feels validated and valued. Her therapeutic specialties include Autism Spectrum Disorders, social skills, perspective-taking, self-regulation strategies, anxiety, depression, self-image, and coping in this post-pandemic world. Additionally, she is passionate about supporting adolescents in navigating their identity journeys and is a strong ally.
Outside the office, Allison has a broad background in Chicagoland community theater, both as an actress and director. When not on stage, she can be found cuddled up with her dog, Leonard, and reading a good thriller.
